WITH FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY HARBOR BRANCH OCEANOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE

FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute

Founded in 1971, The FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute's 146-acre campus has produced countless innovations through partnerships with many of the world’s most talented scientists. And now, MANG is stepping in to help.

Combining MANG's restoration efforts with FAU HBOI's more than 200 scientists, engineers, mariners, and support personnel, we're on a collective mission to explore the world's oceans and integrate the science and technology of the sea with the needs of humankind.

Every purchase of our Ocean Science Collection goes directly to fund MANG and FAU HBOI’s combined efforts to explore the ocean frontier and restore marine habitats that provide humankind with so many life-altering, and life-giving, discoveries. With a major focal point of these efforts being devoted to the water quality issues affecting the Indian River Lagoon.

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of FAU HBOI's relentless pursuit of Ocean Science for a Better World®. Founded in the spirit of ocean exploration, Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is driven by a rich history of world-class research dedicated to marine ecosystem conservation, ocean and human health, aquaculture food security, and technological innovation.

In 1971, J. Seward Johnson Sr. founded a research institution for marine scientists and engineers with the help of his long-time friend, famed inventor Edwin A. Link. Located along the largest privately owned deepwater channel in Florida, FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute originally focused on deep-sea exploration and creating the technology to safely send scientists to new depths.

36 years after its creation Harbor Branch joined Florida Atlantic University, further expanding the reach of it's programs to over 100 miles along Florida’s east coast. Today, FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute is a trusted leader and expert resource for marine science research, conservation and education.

Through MANG and FAU HBOI's partnership, all purchases through this collection help fund these critical research and restoration projects to return biodiversity to the Indian River Lagoon, and marine ecosystems as a whole, for generations to come.
