Ethically Sourcing the Highest Quality Fabrics

Let’s build a healthier planet and healthier coastlines.

Creating true environmental change requires more than just donating dollars to offset your carbon footprint. It requires transparency in your supply chain while you source fabrics made ethically, sustainably, and with the highest quality. That’s why you’ll never see MANG partnering with brands who use Uighur labor or any other unethical practice.

At MANG, how our clothes are made is just as important as where and why they’re made. For example, our organic cotton can biodegrade in your compost bin, and it’s also made in the USA. We love that our UPF fabric carries the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Seal of Recommendation; and we’re also always on the hunt for a UPF fabric that is more sustainable. Come learn more about each product you love at MANG, and help us build a more sustainable future.

Organic Cotton Tees

Sourcing Our Cotton

  • 100% organic cotton
  • GMO, pesticide, and chemical free
  • Made in the USA

UPF Hoodies

Just like our organic cotton tees, our UPF 50+ hoodies are cut, sewn, and printed right here in the USA in the southeast. These polyester hoodies are loomed in a factory in Honduras and then cut and sewn in the USA with a strong double hem to make sure they withstand whatever you throw at them.

With a UPF 50 rating, these hoodies block 98% of harmful UVA/B rays so you can ditch the sunscreen and help save our ocean’s reefs while you’re at it. They carry the Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation, so you can feel safe putting the whole family in our UPF and enjoying the sun without the burn. And with moisture- and odor-wicking technology built right in, these shirts keep you fresh all day long.

Our UPF neck gaiters are cut and sewn in the USA in the southeast, just like our UPF hoodies. Using a sublimation process like our MANGroflage shirts, the gaiters are printed with an edge-to-edge pattern and then cut to fit. The UPF fabric is ethically loomed in Honduras and then assembled here in the USA.

Woven Bracelets

To create the perfect bracelet for MANG, we partnered with Wanderer who hand makes their jewelry in Bali. The bands and the wooden charms are handcrafted, making each a one-of-a-kind creation—and the charms themselves are sustainably made from local up-cycled wood. Even the bags are screen printed and stitched in the same Balinese village.

  • Hand woven, carved, and bagged in Bali
  • Charms are sustainably made from local up-cycled wood

UPF Shirts

ur UPF long-sleeve and short-sleeve shirts are sourced from a company in the USA who ethically looms their fabric in Colombia. We choose this Colombian manufacturer based on the incredible quality of their fabric, as well as the fair wage and sustainable energy practices of their facilities, making these the best UPF shirts on the market.

Hats

MANG currently uses Richardson’s wholesale operations to supply us with our blanks for patched and embroidered hats. Although Richardson is headquartered in the USA, they are vertically integrated with factories across the globe.

Richardson’s corporate responsibility states they only run factories with fair labor and hiring practices. However, in 2021 and beyond, MANG is exploring other partnerships to increase our sustainability and lower our carbon footprint.

  • Produced using fair labor and hiring practices from a US-run manufacturer
  • Durable hats built to withstand anything you through at them from an industry leader
